In our last post, we said we were back! It’s been many days since that post. We clearly weren’t back and honestly, we knew we weren’t. Sorry for lying to you. We don’t make a habit of lying but you know, things happen.
Here’s the deal. Heather and I are normally together for AT LEAST five days out of the week, sometimes more. With the holidays, that wasn’t the case and we both feel a little powerless to do anything blog-related without the other. As a result, we’ve continued to slack right on through the New Year. Happy New Year, by the way! Next week, all the usual folks will go back to work and Heather and I will be back together again in my four-kid, messy, always chaotic kitchen and you should be ready because the things we will produce, you will want to see!
In the meantime, since you’re all chomping at the bit (you know, all six of you that subscribe to us, bless you!) for a new post, we’ll give you a recap of our 2011. All the cool bloggers did this before January 2nd, but we’re too cool for school, so we’re doing it today.
Our top three posts that our readers enjoyed this year are:
This was one of Heather’s favorites because of it’s “texture” that melted in her mouth. We made it because we thought it sounded like an interesting combination and it was. Apparently even people in places like Saudi Arabia and New Zealand enjoyed this post about our pie. How cool is that?!
This was BY FAR my favorite post ever. Who am I kidding? This is my favorite food ever. In life. If you haven’t made this yet, you should, before all the new years resolution hoopla gets the best of you. I made them this past weekend again and ate… well… too many.
This was a very exciting post for us because it got us on another (much more well known) blogger’s website. We squealed about it. And maybe there was some clapping and jumping up and down. Maybe. I’ll neither confirm nor deny our girly display of excitement.
On a more personal note, we added two new additions to the Kids in the Sink posse this year. No doubt, the two best parts of 2011. These little guys made our whole year!
Happy New Year guys! We’ll be back in full force next week, we promise!
